Funeral services for Myrtle E. Cruit, 73, of East Moline, will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family. Mrs. Cruit died Thursday, Dec. 16, 1999, at her daughter's home. Myrtle was born April 26, 1926, in New Boston, the daughter of Guy and Mary (Mahoney) Boden. She married Robert A. Cruit June 5, 1948, in Rock Island. He died Sept. 21, 1997. Over the years, she had worked as a waitress for several local restaurants. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Eilene and Daniel Lewis of East Moline; grandchildren, Brian, Shawn, Emily and Matthew.
