Alberta E. Shaffer passed away, February 25, 1993 at St. Johns Regional Medical Center, Salina at the age of 78. She was born April 30, 1914 at Penokee, the daughter of Lester and Sarah (Hudson) Vernon. She was a retired laundry employee at Pioneer Cleaners in Concordia and also Rite-Way Laundry in Concordia. She also worked for Stockton Laundry in Stockton. She is survived by one daughter, Annise Shaffer, Salina. Her body was cremated with inurnment in the Alcona Cemetery west of Stockton at a later date.
