Cpl. Kevin A. Cueto, 23, of San Jose, Calif., died June 22 while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, IMarine Expeditionary Force, based at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, Calif. He is the son of: Phillip Cueto of San Jose, and Kelley Greenhaw of Okmulgee, OK; loving brother of Timothy S. Cueto; dear grandson of: Joann Walker, and Steven and Cindy Anderson. Also survived by his aunts and uncles: Maria Cueto, Kasey (Dan) Spears, and Steven (Cindy) Anderson, Jr.; his first cousins: Brianna Spears, and Kiley, Brook, and Drew Anderson; and his devoted girlfriend Ally Carvalho. Kevin is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He enlisted in the Marine Corps on Aug. 15, 2005, and this was his second combat deployment. He had previously served in Iraq in 2009, according to the Department of Defense.
