Funeral services for Edgar Whitlock, 15, son of Mr. and Mrs. Whitlock of Dublin, were held Wednesday afternoon at the Methodist church with the Rev. L.D. Mayberry of War, W. Va. Assisted by the Rev. S.O. Frye. Internment was in the Dublin Cemetery.
Young Whitlock died at Lakeland, Fla. Sunday afternoon after a short illness.
Deceased is survived by parents, three sisters and nine brothers. Mrs. L.S. Dunn, Shenandoah, Va., A.L., W.S., P.C. and Don Whitlock, all of Florida; Harvey of Chester, Pa.; Elroy and Francis of Dublin; Otis of Bassett; Mrs. L.M. Cecil of Bassett and Miss Daisy Whitlock of Dublin.
Members of the Dublin Boyscouts acted as both flower and pall bearers. Active pall bearers were; Jerry and Walter Brillheart, B.M. Anderson and William Durham. (Pulaski Southwest Times- Friday, Sept 20, 1929)
