BOURBON - Donald Nelson Holloway, 79, passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at 3:20 AM in his Bourbon, Indiana, residence surrounded by his loving family. Donald was born August 24, 1930, in Warsaw, Indiana, to Elmer Holloway and Evelyn (Duff) Holloway. He was married in October 1983 to Sylvia (Montague) (Grindle) Holloway, who survives. He had been a resident of Bourbon since 1988, coming from Akron, Indiana. He worked as a plant manager and furniture designer for Flare Design Limited, retiring in 1992, also worked for Kofabco, Peru, Indiana, and Arnold Corp., Warsaw, Indiana. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father and grandfather who walked with the Lord; was a member of New Life Christian Church, Warsaw, participated in woodcraft shows, and was a race car driver at Warsaw Speedway, an outdoorsman, fisherman and hunter. Survivors include wife, Sylvia Holloway, Bourbon, Indiana; son, Edson Holloway, Yelm, Washington; three daughters, Cheryl (Joel) Holloway Crist, Peru, Indiana, Donna (David) Holloway Shafer, Logansport, Indiana, Teresa (D.L. "Mike") Holloway Tomlinson Jr., Cortland, Ohio; stepdaughter, Janice (Lyle) Grindle Enyeart, Claypool, Indiana; 15 grandchildren, Daniel Holloway, Costa Mesa, California, Caleb Holloway, Puyallaup, Washington, Erika Cordill, Logansport, Indiana, Derik Cordill, North Manchester, Indiana, Nathan Crist, Peru, Indiana, Angela (Shafer) McMinn, Logansport, Indiana, Alicia (Shafer) Dowling, Logansport, Indiana, Andrew Shafer, Austin, Texas, Ashlee (Shafer) Sellers, Austin, Texas, Adrienne (Tomlinson) Rawl, Dayton, Ohio, Paige (Tomlinson) Miller, Girard, Ohio, Tony Enyeart, Warsaw, Indiana, Mindy (Enyeart) Klein, Plainfield, Illinois, Jeanene (Grindle) Walls, North Webster, Indiana, Jim Bob Grindle, Warsaw, Indiana; 21 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by spouse, Phyllis (Grindle) Holloway; brother, Luther Holloway; sister, Josephine (Holloway) Leiter; and parents, Elmer and Evelyn Holloway Visitation will be held today, June 24, 2010, 2-8 PM, New Life Christian Church (744 S. 325 E, Warsaw, IN 46582), with services on Friday, June 25, 2010, 5 PM, New Life Christian Church (744 S. 325 E, Warsaw, IN 46582). Burial is to be Saturday, June 26, 2010, 10 AM, Akron Cemetery, Akron, Indiana. Pastor John B. Lowe, New Life Christian Church, Warsaw, Indiana, will preside over services.
