Mrs. Della McMillan
Ruth Della Pool was born in Reno county, Kansas, February 27, 1878, and passed away at her home here in Stafford on August 7, 1939, at the age of 61 years, 5 months, and 11 days.
Early in life she came with her parents to this community. She was a devoted member of the Christian church, faithful in attendance and active in its work.
On February 20, 1895, she was united in marriage to J.T. McMillan, and to this union one son was born. Her husband preceded her in death Nov. 24, 1925.
Survivors are the son, Victor H. McMillan; two grandchildren, Bobbie Glenn and Truman Harold McMillan; four brothers and sisters, Mrs. Clara Robbins of Manchester, Okla,; Levi F. Pool of Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Hattie Venard of Nashville, Kans.; and W.E. Pool of Copeland, Kans.; other relatives and friends.
One sister, Mrs. Hacker, died in 1926.
Funeral services were held from the Peacock & Soice Memorial Chapel Wednesday afternoon, August 9, with the Rev. Floyd S. Smith in charge. Interment was in the Stafford Cemetery.
