Mr. Brown was a loving husband, father and grandfather and a fourth generation East Texas. He was a retired paper maker for Champion Paper Mill following 38 years of service.
Mr. Brown was a member of Lufkin Masonic Lodge #669, AF & AM and treasurer of the Narrow Way Cemetery Association.
He was an avid bird hunter and dog trainer.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
He has been a resident of Lufkin and Angelina County all his life.
Survivors include his wife Maryjo (McCarthy) Brown.
Son and daughter-in-law, Russell Clay and Kelly Brown; daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia Leigh and Randy Griffith;
daughter, Laurie Melissa Brown; brother and sister-in-law, Joe R. and Patricia Brown; brother, Jim B. Brown; sister and brother-in-law Judy and Delwin Burgess; sister, Linda Blackburn; 4 grandchildren
