She ws born Jan 10, 1919, in Winona, Mn. to Ernest and Emma (Hjelle) Zimbeck and moved to the Timberland area as a young girl. Norma graduated from Cumberland High School in 1937. She was married in Lindstrom Mn., on april 16, 1937, to Lloyd Owens.
Norma worked at 3M Company in Cumberland for 17 years and worked at Holiday Store for several years. She was a member of First Lutheran church.
She is survivied by her husband, Lloyd Owens of Cumberland, 2 sons, Max (Lois) Owens of cumberland & Jon (Ann) Owens of Comstock; 1 daughter, Rita Franz of Cumberland, 13 Grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 brother Robert Zimbeck of Duluth, Mn & 1 sister, Inez Gronning of Shell Lake. She is preceded in death by infant twins, and infant son Lloyd, and a daughter JoAnn robertson.
