Mrs. Chance died Sunday afternoon at New Castle Healthcare Center after having been ill for six years. She was born Jan. 30, 1901 in Knightstown. She was a member of Knightstown United Methodist Church.
Survivors are three sons, John McCorkhill of R.3 Rushville: James McCorkhill of Muncie and Richard McCorkhill of Ohio: a daughter, Mrs. Helen Gay of West Virginia: three step-sons, Roscoe Chance of Connersville, Ora Chance of Knightstown and Alvin Chance of Rushville:
three step-daughters, Edith Doll of Dublin, Ethel Hinton of Alvin Texas and Nora Minyard of New Castle: 18 grandchildren: 22 great-grandchildren: several stepgrandchildren and great-stepgrandchildren.
