Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 10:00 a.m. in the Sunset Chapel at the Taft Funeral Home, for Richard Marlin Culley, age 66, who died Thursday night in a Bakersfield hospital.
He was born March 13, 1915 in Earlton, Kansas to William and Anna Mae Culley. While a young man, the family moved to California and entered the Navy in July of 1942, and received the Bronze Star following his discharge in 1945. He moved to Avenal. In 1959 he moved to Taft where he was employed by the Sun Oil Company. He retired in 1962.
He is survived by two daughters, a brother, two sisters, and two grandchildren.
The pastor of the Church of the Nazarene, will officiate in the service. A private internment will follow the service in the West Side Cemetery District.
Friends who wish to pay their respects may call this evening until 8:00 p.m. at the Taft Funeral Home.
