Clarence E. Hartlage, 58, a retired bricklayer, died at 4:58 p.m. Sunday at his home, 223 N. 19th. He was a Louisville native and member of Bricklayer's Union No. 1 of Kentucky. He also was a member of St. Anthony Church.
Surviving are his wife, the former Pauline Myrtle Probus; four daughters, Mrs. George Campbell, Mrs. Pauline Auter, Miss Marilyn Hartlage and Miss Patricia Hartlage; three sons, Joseph Hartlage, with the United States Navy at Sanford, Fla., and Edward A. and Michael D. Hartlage; a brother, Anthony Hartlage, Philiadelphia; three sisters, Mr. Charles Martin, Mrs. Hubert Hubbard, both of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Leona Francis, and seven grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony Church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. The body will be at Ratterman's, 2114 W. Market after 4 p.m. Monday.
