MARILYN JEAN - 75, of Jackson, went Home to be with the Lord Monday, June 21, 2010. She was the daughter of Kenneth and Nellie (Hoyer) Bruce born August 30, 1934 in Jackson, MI. Marilyn is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Earl Gerald Boyers; four children, David (Carol), Gary (Marie), Tracy (Lynette) and Sandra Boyers; five grandchildren, Paul (Sheila), Brandie (Rick), Alicia, Evan, and Brandon; four great-grandchildren, Nathan, Stephanie, Kerri, and Rebekah; several great-great-grandchildren; brother, Richard (Lucille) Bruce; two sisters, Shirley (Ray) Crimin, and Jeanette McWaters; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Daniel Boyers. Marilyn graduated from Kellogg School of Nursing in 1972, retired after more then 20 years at Foote Memorial Hospital as a RN. She enjoyed her siblings, grandchildren, many family gatherings, and attending Spring Arbor Free Methodist Church. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held Friday, June 25, at Spring Arbor Free Methodist Church 120 E. Main St., Spring Arbor with the Reverend Ward Sipes and Richard Bruce officiating; Inurnment Maple Grove Cemetery, Concord, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to Allegiance Hospice, One Jackson Square, 4th Floor, Jackson, MI 49201, or Spring Arbor Free Methodist Church Benevolent Fund, P.O.
