Miller Rites Held In Texas

W.B. (Brack) Miller, former Attala Countian, died Jan. 5 in Amarillo, Texas, following a long illness.

Born March 3, 1888 near Ackerman, he lived for many years in the Bear Creek Community. He lived in Attala County about 30 years teaching school, owning and operating hardware and other businesses, and farming near McCool.

He belonged to the masonic lodge and the Methodist church in McCool. He was a trustee of Bear Creek Consolidated High School 1919-1929 and served as president of the Bear Creek Community Club in the 1930s. before moving to Ashtola, Donley County, Texas, in 1938.

Me was married on March 31, 1912, to Julia Wade, daughter of Robert Wade, whose ancestors pioneered in this county in 1839.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Robert H. Matthews of Amarillo, Texas, Mrs. Joyce Stallings of Clovis, New Mexico, and Mrs. Deolece Parmelee of Austin, Texas; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held in San Jacinto United Methodist Church, Amarillo, with burial in Citizens' Cemetery in Clarendon.
