William John Robert "Bill" FELDTMAN

FELDTMAN William John Robert "Bill" Devoted father, treasured grandfather and adoring great-grandfather, William John Robert Feldtman passed into the loving arms of His Lord on June 21, 2010 after a brief stay at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. William was born on July 3, 1927 in Toledo to William and Emma Feldtman, who preceded him in death. He married Dorothy Pauline Navarre on October 5, 1945 who passed away in 2006. He is survived by his sister, Margaret Stevens of Toledo. William lived his entire life in Northwest Ohio. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII aboard the U.S.S. Fall River. William attended worship services and was a member of Calvary Assembly of God. He was a devoted father to his three daughters, who all survive in Bowling Green, Susan (Luke) Meadows, Sallie (Eric) Schilling, and Sandy (Tom) Blanchard and his seven grandchildren, Luke (Ginger) Meadows, Lacy (Byron) Jones, Elaine (Tom) Riggs, Eric (Annalisa) and Nicholas Schilling and Tommy and Bethany Blanchard. Last, but not least, he leaves behind his beloved and constant companion, his Schnauzer, "Candy Cane". Though he will be greatly missed by all who loved him, his devotion to his family will long be cherished and he will be a special memory forever. William spent much of his time with his family and always had an adoring smile for his great-grandsons Joel and Carter Meadows, Bryson, Daylen and Camdyn Schilling, Tripp Jones and the newest arrival great-granddaughter Tally Jones. He was employed at Commercial Aluminum Cookware (Calphalon) for his entire career, first as a metal-spinner and worked his way up to retire as the Plant Superintendent. William was an avid competitor and enjoyed tennis, bowling, card games, backgammon but his favorite activity to either watch or participate in was golf. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2010, at 11:00 am in the Dunn Funeral Home in Bowling Green. Rev. Luke Meadows will officiate. Burial will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. William's family wish to thank the staff St. Luke's Hospital and Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, for the care given to our father and grandfather in his time of need.
