Joyce Nadine Wilton, 68, a resident of Barstow for 67 years, died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2003 at Barstow Community Hospital.She was born March 4, 1935 in Concordia, Kansas. She was a homemaker for 46 years. Joyce used to be a professional baker, specializing in wedding cakes. She enjoyed traveling and often took side roads just to see where they would lead her. She would stop to smell the roses and took the time to cherish the beauty God blessed us with here on earth.She was a nature lover, enjoying cats, hummingbirds, and she was a real people person. One of her favorite hobbies was playing bingo. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a previous member of the Kiwanis Club of Barstow, and was also an active volunteer with voter registration.She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, her daughter Landia Jean, and a son David Duane. She is survived by her sons, Jack Wilton of Medford, Ore., Darrell Wilton and Andrew Wilton of Yermo, and Clarence �Bear� Wilton of Barstow; daughter, Candis L. Larson of Barstow; brothers Harold Alderson of Barstow and Donald Alderson of Idaho; and sisters Alberta Fairbanks of Barstow and Carole Brown of Texas.
