DISTENE CROWDER, 67, of Memphis, died of heart failure Sunday at Saint Francis Hospital. M. J. Edwards & Sons Funeral Home has charge. She leaves two daughters, Lydia D. Halmon and Jacqueline Crowder, and two sons, Timothy Crowder and Derek Crowder, all of Memphis; her mother, Delia Williams of Charleston, Miss.; six sisters, Cleotha Flowers and Mae Matthews, both of Milwaukee, Essie Bland and Christine Dumas, both of Chicago, Bessie Reed of Memphis and Gerdine Smith of Charleston, Tenn.; a brother, Sony Williams of Charleston, Miss., and several grandchildren.
