Jonathan Latham was baptized 29 Jun 1746 the son of Jonathan & Mary (Avery) Latham and the husband of Lucy Niles[Connecticut, Church Record Abstracts,1630-1920; and The Groton Avery Clan, vol 1, pp169/170]. Lucy was the daughter of Nathan and Mary (Northrup) Niles of So. Kingstown RI & Groton CT. Jonathan served in the Rev War and was wounded in the Battle of Fort Griswold on 6 Sep 1781 [Connecticut Nutmegger]. He made his will 3 Jun 1790; proved 4 Oct 1790. His children were: Ebenezer (1770-1839); Jonathan (1772 - ) and Mary Ann ( - )
