Mr. Lee Alexander Benton
Mr. Lee Alexander Benton, 93, died at the home of his son, Mr. Grady Benton, in Waxhaw Wednesday night. He was a retired farmer. He was the son of the late Oliver and Louise Medlin Benton of Union County. Funeral service was held today at 2 o’clock at Secrest Grove Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Melton Helms and the Rev. E. M. Ferguson. Burial was in the church cemetery. Surviving are: five daughters, Mrs. Amzie Helms, Monroe, Mrs. Arthur Helms, Waxhaw, Mrs. Oscar Baker, Gastonia, Mrs. C. R. Ross, Augusta, Mrs. H. D. Skipper of Charlotte; two son, Messrs., Robert and Grady Benton of Waxhaw.
