He was a farmer, P. O. McKean twp., was born in McKean twp., 24 Sept 1829, son of Benjamin and Charlotte (Buck) Morey. Mr. Morey married 10 Sept 1851, Alta Andrews, born 10 Mar 1830, daughter of Philemon and Orpha (Pinney) Andrews, the former born in Connecticut, 2 Mar 1779, died Summit twp., 6 April 1872, and the latter born in Mass. 16 Oct 1805. By the above union, there is one child - Nettie, born 11 Nov 1853 (now wife of Woods Tallmage, of McKean twp.): they have one child - Myron J., born 2 April 1872. From 1857 to 1862, Mr. Morey resided in Summit twp., for which he was Collector one term. He subsequently returned to McKean twp., and, in 1867, purchased the farm upon which he now resides; it comprises 190 acres. Mr Morey is now Director and Secretary of the Public School of Middleboro, and has filled the office of Assessor, Collector, Constable and Judge of Elections in McKean twp. He is also Secretary, Treasurer and Salesman of the Middleboro Cheese Factory. Mr Morey with his wife, is a member of the M. E. Church; in politics he is a Republican.
