Barbara Kay Gaston, 61, of New Bethlehem, died at 11:09 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004, in Clarion Hospital following an extended illness.

Born July 18, 1943, in Leatherwood, Porter Township, Clarion County, she was the daughter of Bernice Smail Gruver of Fairmount City and the late William Clyde Gruver.
Mrs. Gaston enjoyed helping friends and family and doing crafts.

She was married Nov. 22, 1975, to LeRoy Gaston, who survives along with her mother.

Also surviving are a son, Tony Gaston of New Bethlehem; two daughters, Tina Myers and Tori Gaston, both of New Bethlehem; three grandchildren, Heather Miller, Ronnie Myers and Jeremy Myers; and one great-grandson, Ethan LeGrand.

She also is survived by five sisters, Mary Doverspike of Fairmount City, Janice Himes of New Castle, Vickie Troup of Hawthorn, Kathy Crissman of Hawthorn and Robin Smith of Fairmount City; and three brothers, William Gruver of New Bethlehem and Dennis Gruver and James Gruver, both of Fairmount City.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. today in the Rupert Funeral Home in New Bethlehem with the Rev. John Phillips officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Charles Catholic Cemetery in New Bethlehem.
