Mrs. Randal Day

Again the Death Angel has folded his shadowy wing over a once happy fireside. Mrs. Randal Day, after a number of years of suffering, gave up the struggle and sank into the arms of final rest for all the children of earth, at her home in Terre Haute, Sunday night, at nine o'clock.

Mrs. Day was the youngest of ten children composing the family of the late Stephen Archer, one of the best known of the pioneers of Clark County. Of the ten children, only the three oldest, Burns, William and Mrs. Sarah Jane Vance are living.

Mrs. Day was born in Marshall, March 24, 1855. In 1872 she became the wife of Randal Day and the young couple began housekeeping in Marshall. Several years since the family moved to Terre Haute, Ind., where they have since lived. To them have been born nine children, only five of whom survive their mother. Mrs. Day's disease was consumption. She bore her long years of suffering with Christian patience and resignation. She had been for years a member of the M. E. church and died with full trust in the loving Savior. After services in Terre Haute, the remains were brought to Marshall on No. 5, today and taken from the train to the cemetery north of town and laid to rest.

Mr. Day and the children have the unfeigned sympathy of this community in their sad bereavement.
