AIDA B. DIXSON
Mar. 30, 1927 - Jun. 12, 2010

Aida Bianca Dixson went to be with her Lord June 12, 2010. She was 83. Aida Bianca Cristofolo was born in Portland March 30, 1927, to Pasquale and Elsie. She attended Woodstock Elementary and Franklin High schools.

On July 3, 1948, she married RAYMOND OWEN DIXSON.

Aida worked for Pacific Northwest Bell a number of years before having children. She was then a stay-at-home mom to her six children until she returned to the workforce in 1969.

Aida then began a 33-year career with Fred Meyer pharmacy as a clerk, working full-time at the Hollywood, Stadium, and, finally, the Southeast 39th Avenue and Hawthorne Boulevard locations, retiring at age 75.

She always had a passion for people, cooking, and baking. For fun, she enjoyed her bingo and bunco groups, secret pal get-togethers, hosting lots of holiday parties, and spending time with family and friends. She was always ready with food and shelter for people in need. She used her spiritual gifts of service and hospitality to the fullest. When her boys were young, she was a cub scout leader and PTA president.

Aida is survived by her children, Marci (Stephen) Lovejoy of Lincoln City; Vickie Nees of Canby; Jeff (Brenda) Dixson of Washougal, Wash.; Denny (Angela) Dixson of Portland; Steve (Michelle) Dixson of Milwaukie; and Terry Dixson of Portland. She is also survived by her sister, Jeanette Gallucci; and brothers, Victor and Frank Cristofolo. Her true legacy is her 22 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

She will be forever missed, but definitely not forgotten.

A funeral Mass will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 19, 2010, in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 10956 S.E. 25th Ave., Milwaukie, OR 97222. A reception will be held in St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1112 S.E. 41st Ave., Portland, OR 97214, immediately following the Mass.
