Callie Mae Wooldridge, age 84, of Jamestown, died on Wednesday, May 8, 1996, at her residence. She was born in Russell County on February 23, 1912, to Elora Yeadon Russell and Vernon Russell, both of whom preceded her in death.

Mrs. Wooldridge is survived by her husband, Albert Wooldridge, of Jamestown; two daughters, Margaret Buck of Louisville and Shirley Cooper of Russell Springs; four sons, John Neal Wooldridge of Winslow, Indiana, James Vernon Wooldridge of Columbia, Alfred Wooldridge of Jamestown, and Thomas Lynn Wooldridge of Waverly, Virginia. Eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive. Other survivors include three brothers, Ross Russell of Russell Springs, James Russell and Roy Russell, both of Jamestown. Mrs. Wooldridge was a member of the Manntown Methodist Church and a homemaker.

Funeral services were held on Friday, May 10, 1996, at 2 p.m., at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Lilly officiating. Special music was provided by Rev. Mark Lilly. Pallbearers were Brandon Henson, Timothy VanArsdale, John Wooldridge, Steven Wooldridge, Denny Burchette, Gerald Winfield, and Victor Olaf Cooper. Interment was in the Murray Cemetery in Jamestown.
