Alfred Henry Julius Lehne was the son of Louis Lehne (1870-1965) and Augusta Feller (1874-1949); both of his parents were buried in the Der Stadt Friedhof Cemetery, Fredericksburg, Gillespie, Texas.

Alfred married Cora Roeder on 20 November 1919 in Fredericksburg, Gillespie, Texas, daughter of Peter Roeder and Lina Brantes.

World War I military Service: inducted 15 July 1918 assigned as Pvt 1st class to automatic replacement draft at Camp MacArthur; served overseas from 26 September 1918 until 16 July 1919 then was honorably discharged 27 July 1919.

He registered for the World War II draft from Harper, Texas at age 47 but wasn't called up.
