Services were held at Mountain View Saturday afternoon for C.L. Horn, Mountain View business man, who died suddenly at his home there Friday. Mr. Horn is well known in Carnegie and is the father of Mrs. C.E. Jamieson and brother of J.E. Horn. Burial was made in the Carnegie cemetery.
Charles Lafayette Horn was born in Hinze, Miss., December 30, 1883, the fourth of nine children, and departed this life March 5, 1937 at Mountain View, Oklahoma.
He was united in marriage to Eddie Lee Pierce in 1904 and to this union three children were born, Gracie Lee, Bessie and William. Mrs. Horn died in 1908. He moved to Mountain View in 1923, and on August 19, 1931, he was married to Mrs. Mattie Morrow of that place. He was converted and united with the Methodist church in 1930.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Mrs. Charles Horn; the three children, Mrs. Jamieson of Carnegie; Mrs. L.L. Alford, Indianola, Miss., and William Horn, Fresno, Calif.; two step-children, Mrs. Curley Woodring and Lawrence Morrow, both of Long Beach, Calif.; five brothers and one sister, Mrs. J.E. Watts, Carthage, Miss.; A.H. and Arthur Horn, Lamesa, Texas; Hf.L. Horn, Corpus Christi, Texas; E.J. Horn, Moss, Miss., and J.E. Horn, Carnegie, and other relatives and a host of friends.
