He was baptized by Halliday Trice [probably William Halliday Trice while Trice was a student at Henderson under Freed and Hardeman] in 1908. Had a debate in 1919 on "Holy Spirit, Divine Healing." He taught in public schools of West Tennessee, preached in every congregation in Obion, Dyer, and Lake counties. He helped to establish several congregations. At age sixteen, he lost a leg in a saw mill accident. He never married. His parents were Joe D. Wall and Rebecca Jones.
