On December 31, 1901, at her late residence on Moulton Street, Mrs. Lou L. Wade fell asleep. A strong, tender, thoughtful, loving mother, who gave the best of her energies to the service of her God and the careful training of her children. For a number of years she had been a widow. She leaves four noble sons and three loving daughters... From early girlhood, Mrs. Wade was a consistent member of the Baptist Church. The funeral exercises were conducted at the home by her pastor, Rev. W. Y. Quisenberry and the body was laid to rest in the family burying ground near Trinity.
