OBIT: H. D. Pieratt-

H. D. Pieratt was born December 8, 1863, at Maytown, Kentucky, and passed away at his home, west of Fort Cobb, April 16, 1937. He was married to Matilda Hanes at Estill, Kentucky, December 6, 1888, and to this union eight children were born,, four of whom preceded him in death. Those who survive are Lee, of Fairbury, Nebraska, Herman, of Tulsa, William, of Houston, Texas, and Mrs. Lulu Mae Willis, of Lawton.

Mr. and Mrs. Pieratt were residents of Kentucky for five years after their marriage before moving to Texas. Then in 1900, they moved to Oklahoma, locating north of Hobart, and in 1931, they moved to Ft. Cobb and resided here until his death. Funeral services were held in the Baptist Church in Fort Cobb, Sunday morning at 9:00 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Chapman, with a male quartet composed of Kenneth Parker, Ralph Williams, Woodrow Hodges and Mr. Okerman rendering the music, with Karl Chapman, Judior, at the piano. Interment was at Rocky, Oklahoma, in charge of the funeral was Harvey Funeral Home.
