BURR
Mary Esther Bond was born April 25, 1869, at Vineland, N. J. and spent her childhood there. She later came to Lucas county where she resided on the same farm in the Harmony community until the death of her husband in 1939, at which time she moved to Chariton. Mrs. Burr resided at the Baker Nursing Home from 1953 until her death, Feb. 2, 1962, at the age of 92 years, nine months and seven days.
She was married to Clark C. Burr, and to them a son, Raymond, was born. He died Feb. 15, 1953.
Mrs. Burr was a member of the First Methodist church in Chariton.
For many years she received the personal care of Wyota Stark and Myrna Baker. She will be missed by them, her friends, and the residents of the nursing home.
Funeral services were held at the Beardsley-Fielding Funeral Home Sunday, Feb. 4, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Lester Hall officiated and interment was in the Chariton cemetery.
