Born July 18, 1914, in New Bethlehem, she was the daughter of Charles E. and Minnie Himes Slagle. She was a graduate of Pennsylvania schools. Mrs. Shick was a member of Fairmount City United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and seamstress. She loved gardening.
Mrs. Shick was married to Jack B. Shick on 5 June 1937, who preceded her in death. They had one daughter, Marilyn Sue (Shick) Lane. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Shick was preceded in death by a sister, Claire Slagle Lucas; and two brothers, Harry Slagle and Walter Slagle.
Local arrangements are in charge of the Alcorn Funeral Home, 4065 Brookville St., Hawthorn, where visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
Interment will follow in New Bethlehem Cemetery
