Mrs. Nannie E. Gore, 85, widow of Hamilton Mae Gore, died in the home of her daughter, Mrs. R.S. Zachry in Dilworth community Saturday, June 1 at 2 a.m. following a long illness. Funeral services were held Sunday, June 2 at 2 p.m. in Dillworth church with Rev. George Butler and Rev. W.M. Crow officiating. Burial was in Millwee cemetery under direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home. A native and life-long resident of Sevier county, she was born Oct. 29, 1871 in Lockesburg. She was a member of the New Lebanon Cumberland Presbyterian church. Survivors include four sons, Ernest (Madie) and Aldine(Nola) Gore,Stringtown, Alvin(Vivian) Gore, De Queen and Eugene(Effie) Gore, Royal Oak, Mich.; six daughters, Ellis & (Mae) Adair and Jim & (Maude) Parker, De Queen, Nat & (Irene) Harrison, Lockesburg and Robert & (Molien) Zachry, Floy & (Allene) Harrison and Fred & (Mellos) Wall,Dillworth; four brothers, Oliver Douglas & (Ola) Gray, De Queen, John W. & (Maude)Gray, Lockesburg and Samuel & (Ida) and Luther & (Pearlie) Gray, Horatio; five sisters, T.O. Poole &(Mary Alice), James A. Rankin & (Emma), Richard C. Dickinson & (Bell) and Monroe Cox & Myrlte, Horatio and Richard (Ella) McWhorter, Provo; 34 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Active pallbearers were grandsons of Mrs. Gore.
