Bessie M. Rickman 99 Burlington, died Friday July 10 1987 at a Burlington Nursing home. Mrs Rickman was born Sept 8, 1887 at Emporia, the daughter of Frank Charles and Nora Jane Burns Newcomer. She lived in Coffey Co. Most of her life.
She married Frank N Rickman March 1, 1904 at Emporia he died Dec. 1 1951.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church at Burlington
Three sons Oliver Rickman, Roe Rickman and Dwight Rickman preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son Don Rickman Waverly, four daughters, Mrs Velma Arnold, Rogue River Ore., Mrs Bernice Parker, Weed Calif, Mrs Dorothy Allen, Springfield Ore. and Mrs Mary Jane Heckert, Harrisburg Ore. a brother John Newcomer, Tennessee 21 grandchildren Burlington at a later date

Memorial services for Bessie Mable Rickman were held Wednesday July 15, 1987 at the Jones Funeral Home in Burlington. The services were conducted by Rev. Eva Lou Fletcher and Rev. Grady Todd.
She was born September 8, 1887 at Emporia to Frank & Nora Jane Newcomer and died July 10 1987 at the Golden age Lodge in Burlington.
She and her husband Frank had eight children and made their home in Waverly and Burlington communities except for four years when they lived in Seneca.
