DORIS JEAN 'DORIE' KUNTZELMAN, 75
LEAF RIVER - Doris Jean "Dorie" Kuntzelman, 75, of Leaf River died Friday, June 18, 2010, in SwedishAmerican Hospital, Rockford. Born July 6, 1934, in Leaf River Township, Ogle County, the daughter of Floyd Henry and Ella (Johnson) Zellers. Married Ronald Kuntzelman on May 24, 1953, in Mount Morris. Worked as a postal clerk for the U.S. Postal Service and was a mother and homemaker. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Mount Morris, where she served as the choir pianist. Was a member of Merry Martha Club, 4-H leader and judge, American Legion Auxiliary Post 1148, Girl Scouts, Leaf River Daze committee, Citizen of the Year in 2006, Fire Department Auxiliary and accompanist for the Leaf River school contests. She liked watching basketball and Cubs baseball. Graduated from Leaf River High School, Class of 1952. Survivors include husband; sons, Dennis (Cathy) Kuntzelman of Leaf River, Randall Kuntzel-man of Elizabeth and Rick (Ramona) Kuntzelman of Davis; daughter, Susan (Del) Norup of Crawfordville, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; seven stepgreat-grandchildren; and brothers, Laverne and Keith (Carol) Zellers of Leaf River. Predeceased by parents; daughter, Lila Tuite; sister, Florence Schreiber; brothers, Walter, Robert, Royal and Donald Zellers.
Service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, in Trinity Lutheran Church, Mount Morris; the Rev. Steven Erickson, pastor, will officiate. Burial in North Grove Evangelical Cemetery. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 21, in Finch Funeral Home, 405 E. Hitt St.
