Passed away on March 3rd, 2009 in Spokane, WA. Her home was Spokane, WA. Lily enjoyed playing bridge, bowling, dancing, horse racing, gardening, camping and other outdoor activities. She was a sports fan and liked the Seahawks, Gonzaga, and WSU. She especially enjoyed the State "B"Tournament. Her biggest joy was spending time with her family. She liked going to the beauty shop as she enjoyed looking nice. Lily is survived by her two daughters, Lonna Penrod and Gary of Nine Mile Falls, WA and Candy Walters of Spokane, WA; four grandchildren: Staci Baker, Geoff Penrod, Charly Walters and Mandi Walters; two stepchildren: Meryl Ann Berry and Marvin Hume; six stepgrandchildren, six stepgreat-grandchildren; one sister, Francis Lenhart of Ritzville, WA and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Walter Kupers and Donald Hume, three brothers, Roy, Richard, and George Heimbigner; and one sister, Clara Kupers. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 7th, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Strate Funeral Home, Davenport, WA with Pastor Roger Bruggink officiating. Concluding Services and Vault Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Harrington, WA. Memorials may be made to: Spokane Valley Meals on Wheels, PO Box 14278, Spokane Valley, WA 99214.
