Deanna V. (Huff) Carter was the second daughter born to Arthur E. Huff and Iva L. Standifer-Huff in Wichita, KS. She lived in Wichita and Hutchinson, KS during her childhood and teenage years. The family moved to Omaha after Deanna graduated from Hutchinson High School. Deanna continued to live in Omaha the remainder of her adult life until her death. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior during her childhood years. She became a faithful member of Zion Baptist Church where she served for over 50 years on various ministries. Deanna met and married Archie Raymond Carter on February 26, 1961. To their union were born two sons, Anthony and Alan. Deanna was preceded in death by her husband Archie Carter. She leaves to mourn her sons, Anthony (Stephanie) of Charlotte, NC, and Alan (Cindy) of Omaha; 5 grandchildren, Marcus (Katrina), Alicia, Brittany, Samantha, and Alexander; 1 great granddaughter Meena; 2 sisters, Shirley Haynes, Jacksonville, FL, and Etta Dailey, Cleveland,OH; 1 brother Walter Huff, Denver,CO; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
