Dora Dorothy McMenomy Isaacs, 95, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, at her residence.

A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Elias Jackson Mintz and Zonie Warren Mintz. She was also preceded in Glory by her 12 siblings, husbands, Joseph Arthur McMenomy Sr. and Joe Datan Isaacs, and grandchildren, Janice McMenomy and Benjamin Garrison Jr.

Surviving are her son, Joseph Arthur McMenomy Jr. and wife, Margot Baas McMenomy, of Asheville; daughter, Margaret McMenomy Wallace and husband, James Emory Wallace Sr.; grandchildren, Joseph McMenomy III, Brigitte Garrison, Jeffery Garrison, James Wallace Jr., Debora Edwards, and Leslie Garrison; 18 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren.

She was a devoted wife to her husbands, loving mother to her children, and amazing Mama-Nanny to her grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at Chapel of Faith of Forest Lawn Memorial Park, with the Rev. Steve Brockwell officiating. Burial will be in the memorial park.

Moore Funeral Home at Forest Lawn, Candler,(828 667-8717), is serving the family.
