Eliza was the daughter of James and Caty Parrott. She was believed to be a Quaker because she was married in a Quaker ceremony. Her parents are buried in Norfolk near Doolittle pond with two "Quaker monuments" as described in "History of Norfolk" One reads: "James Parrit, October 28, 1856, age 82" and the other reads: "Caty Parrit, 1854, age 79"
