   Daughter of John and Rosanna (Wilburn) McCarty. Nancy's family travelled to Oregon in an 1847 wagon train when Nancy was about 15 years old. The family settled in Polk County.
   In 1851, Nancy married John R. Pigg. They were members of the Bethel church in Polk County. Husband John Pigg died.
   In 1854, Nancy married William M. Cornett, a blacksmith and ardent churchman.

   Nancy was the mother of: Alexander Cornett, Edward Reuben Cornett, Eugene B. Cornett, Frank D. Cornett, Emma P. Cornett, Anna L. Cornett & Fred C. Cornett.
