Luther Bartley Anderson (Bart) passed away on January 6, 2007 at the age of 82. He was born on September 24, 1924 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Benjamin and Maudie Anderson. Bart married Betty Jo in Purcell, Oklahoma on May 4, 1957. Together they made their home in Lindsay and raised three sons. Luther was affiliated with the Baptist church. He enjoyed reading, watching television and listening to music.
Bart is preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Kern Anderson, five brothers; Jake Anderson, Bud Anderson, Connie Anderson, Red Anderson and Van Anderson.
He is survived by three sons; Luther Bartley Anderson Jr. of Garland Texas, Benjamin Lee Anderson of Lindsay, Oklahoma, Jimmy Ray Anderson of Abilene, Texas, one sister, Pat Watkins of Salem, Oregon, two brothers, Eck Anderson of Prescott Valley, Arizona, Benjamin Anderson of Riverside, California; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Bart was loved very much and will be missed by all.
Services for Bart will be on Tuesday January 9, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Purdy cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of B. G.. Boydston Funeral Home in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Condolences may be sent to the Anderson family online at www.boydstonfuneralhome.com.
