Catherine "Nana" Brantly Orr, 75, of Hendersonville, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at Elizabeth House of Hendersonville. She was the daughter of the late John C. and Marie A. Brantly, and widow of James M. Orr.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Catherine Jean Orr, and brother, Eugene P. Orr.
Mrs. Orr was a member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Asheville.
Survivors include her brother, John H. Brantly, of Raleigh; sisters-in-law, Jean H. Brantly and Florence Smith; foster son, Michael A. Travis, of Saluda; fostergranddaughters, Jessica Kitchene and Sicily Travis; several nieces and nephews; goddaughter, Aysha Haynes; very dear friends, Pauline Luther, Brandi Haynes and Kenneth Luther, of Fletcher, and Jackie and Lib, of Hendersonville.
The funeral will be held at The Chapel of Faith at Forest Lawn with Ministers Daniel FeltnerKapornyai and Margaret Marquis officiating.
Burial will follow in the park.
