Dorothy was the daughter of the late James Marion Toler and Cora Mae (Litton) Toler.

Dorothy married Jacob Foster Litton on June 15, 1946.

Jacob Litton is buried in the Brown Cemetery, Charleston, WV. Kanawha County.

Aunt Dorothy was a cook at the West Virginia School for the Deaf and Blind in Romney and worked at Hill's Laundromat in Romney for several years.

She was a member of Romney Church of the Nazarene.

Aunt Dorothy was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Aunt Dorothy was survived by are three nephews and four nieces, Delmar "Jerry" Lowell, Robert Lowell, H. Ervin Lowell, Myrtle Benway, Emma Nickelson, Leona Moore and Patty,

Aunt Dorothy brothers Dennis Toler, Richard Toler, and a sister, Catherine Toler Lowell are deceased.
