Fern A. Steinhorst, age 84 of Baraboo, died on Thursday, December 5, 1991 at Jefferson Meadows Care Center. Mrs. Steinhorst, the daughter of Emll and Amanda (Knoop) Hinz, was born In Baraboo on September 8, 1907. She was married to Henry A. Steinhorst, Sr. on July 11, 1929. She was a faithful member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Fern was also employed for many years at Industrial Colls in Baraboo.

Survivors include a son, Henry (Dolores) Steinhorst, Jr. of Baraboo; two daughters, Fay Ann (Robert) Rentmeester of Prairie du Sac, Helene (Linus) Stampfl of Verona; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Florence Steinhorst and Essie Knoop; a brother-in-law, Ernest (Dorothy) Steinhorst.

She was preceded In death by her husband, Henry In 1976; her parents; a granddaughter; and a sister, Viola. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 1991 at 1:30 p.m. at ST. PAUL'S LUTHERAN CHURCH with Pastor J.P. Anderson officiating.

Burial will be In the Oak Hill Cemetery In North Freedom. Friends may call from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Monday evening at THE REDLIN FUNERAL HOME and also on Tuesday from 12:30 until time of service at the church. Memorials to be may to St. Paul's Lutheran Church In Baraboo.
