Charles Aaron Phipps, 61, of Brusett, died Tuesday morning at Garfield County Hospital in Jordan. He had been ill for some time and was hospitalized on Sunday.
Mr. Phipps was born Mar. 7, 1903, at Gilt Edge and ranched in the Blackfoot area nearly all his life. He had lived there since the age of seven. At one time he was a government trapper. He married Elsie Loomis on April 25, 1925, at Brusett.
Surviving are his widow; six sons, Roy in the Air Force in Grand Forks, N.D., Frank of Dillon, Curtis, David, Robert, and Clinton, all of Brusett; two daughters, Mrs. Curtis Chamberlain of Brusett, and Mrs. Mary Cowin of Hardin. Also surviving are a brother, W.G. Allen of Lewistown; two sisters, Mrs. Edgar Knapp of Melstone, and Mrs. Edith Cole of Park City, and ten grandchildren.
Funeral services at the Fairview Hall in Bursett. Burial in Pioneer Cemetery in Jordan.
