As a 12 year old, the Germans had taken France, John came across to the US with his parents in 1853, settling near Huntington, Cabill Co, WV. John and Emily Heinrich married May 10, 1867 in Cincinnati, Hamilton Co, OH. They had married and went west by covered wagon settling near North Bend, Griffinsville, IA.
