LEGRANDE, Auldon, 1405 McCoy St., passed away in his 29th year, Tuesday, December 10, 1946, 9 p.m. at the Baptist Hospital. Beloved husband of Mrs. Charlotte LeGrande (nee Dawson); father of Sondra LeGrande; son of Mr and Mrs. Owen LeGrande; brother of Miss Aileen LeGrande; grandson of Mrs. Delia Allen. Remains at the W.G. Hardy Funeral Home, 4101 Dixie Hgwy., Shively, Ky. Funeral services Friday, December 12, at 2 p.m. at the Carlisle Ave. Baptist Church. Interment in Louisville Memorial Park.

Officer LeGrande served with the Louisville Division of Police from June 1944 until his death. On September 2, 1944, he was involved in a serious motorcycle crash at Wenzel and Market Sts. This caused him to be hospitalized three times over the next two years. He eventually lost a leg. He died December 10, 1946 from complications.
