John S. Gleim, Sr. 56, of RD8 Middlesex Township, died Saturday evening at his home.
Mr. Gleim was born Jan. 31, 1918 in Carlisle and the son of the late Frank S. Gleim and Reanie Shatto Gleim, RD8.
He was employed by South Middleton Township at its Sewerage Enforcement Officer. He also was a farmer. He was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church, Bloserville, the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, the Friendship Fire Company and the New Kingston Fire Company.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Leida Warner Gleim; two sons, John W., Jr., RD9 and Tracy K., at home and three grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Hoffman Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover St., with his pastor the Rev. Richard B. Marshall officiating. Burial will be in the Westminster Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home tomorrow evening from 7 to 9 p.m.
