Funeral services were held in Farmington, New Mexico on Thursday for Jess A. "Scotty" Goddard, Jr., 61 year old automotive dealer, who died Christmas Day following a heart attack.
Goddard was a native of Wagoner, Oklahoma, being born here in 1907. He was a graduate of Wagoner High School and the second of four brothers who were star high school athletics here.
Goddard is survived by two sons, Major Dean Goddard, stationed in Munich, Germany and Captain David Goddard, stationed in Great Falls, Montana; and a daughter, Carol, living in Okinawa, Japan with her husband Lieutenant Jay Pierson.
His mother, Mrs. Jess A. (Mary) Goddard, Sr. of Wagoner and two brothers, Martin Goddard of Weatherford, Texas and George Goddard of San Diego, California, also survive him.
