(special thanks to John Burgess for the following info) - Samuel Thomas McAdams joined the 19th South Carolina Infantry company G and served in several battles in the war of northern agression. Samuel was captured following the battle of Chickamauga, GA and was held prisioner 19 months at Rock Island Prision Camp in Rock Island, Illinois.
