Daniel Fred Kirkpatrick, age 63, went to sleep on Friday evening and awakened on Saturday morning, June 12, 2010, in the presence of an awesome God. His passing was extremely unexpected.
Born June 8, 1947, in New Brighton, PA, he was the only son of Mary Patricia Mc Cann Kirkpatrick and Fred W Kirkpatrick. He was employed at Babcock & Wilcox Steel before his medical retirement . He was also the owner of Action Cycle of Beaver Falls. Daniel attended the New Brighton school systems for all of his school years. He was a member of the New Brighton Church of the Nazarene. Danny had a crazy zeal for life and never met a stranger, he loved everyone, and everyone loved him.
He is survived by his parents, Mary and Fred Kirkpatrick and his sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Terry Edwards , with whom he has resided in Bethany, Oklahoma, since February 2008. Prior to that, Daniel had resided in New Brighton and Enon Valley most of his life. He is also survived by his six children and their spouses, Lori and Dan Murphy, Ashville, North Carolina, John and Kim Kirkpatrick, New Castle, Danna & Michael Fleeson, Wampum, Daniel Jr and Jeanine Kirkpatrick, Darlington, Joshua L Kirkpatrick and Ashley Rote, New Galilee and Brandon Kirkpatrick, Ellwood City. He has 13 grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins all of whom he loved very much.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 pm to 8 pm in the LUTTON BEAVER FALLS FUNERAL HOME, 1117 Fifth Avenue, www.luttonfuneralhome.com, where a funeral service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday with Rev. Donald MacNeil of the Church of the Nazarene, New Brighton and his brother-in-law, Rev. Terry Edwards, officiating.
Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Big Beaver Boro.
