He was born January 2, 1935, at Wells Tannery, the son of the late Benjamin C. and Justina (Wiser) Ramsey.
Mr. Ramsey was a member of the United Auto Workers Union. He retired from Caterpillar, Inc., York, as a machinist. He was later employed by Johnson Controls, York.
He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving with the U. S. Army.
Mr. Ramsey was of the Christian faith.
Surviving are four sons, Morris "Ben" Ramsey and wife, Patty of Harrisonville, Dan Ramsey and wife, Robin of Dover, Scott Ramsey and companion, Teresa Seiders, McConnellsburg, and Brian Ramsey and wife Suzette - Wright Road, McConnellsburg; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Calvin P. Ramsey of Harrisonville, Weldon B. Ramsey of Harrisonville, Edgar M. Ramsey of Mercersburg, Terry B. Ramsey of Harrisonville, Billy A. Ramsey of Harrisonville, Gloria Black of Three Springs, Inez Chess and husband, David - New Stanton.
Interment was in Wells Valley Methodist Cemetery, Wells Tannery.
